What is a semi-custom wedding invitation design?
Semi-custom means you choose from one of our existing designs and we personalise it to suit you. We can change the wording, the colours, paper stock. It gives you the quality and expertise of a professional designer without the cost of a fully bespoke commission. You get a beautiful, tailored result at a more accessible price point.
Can I customise the wording on my wedding invitation?
Absolutely. Every invitation is personalised to your exact wording – names, date, venue, dress code, and any other details you'd like to include. You'll provide all of this through the design questionnaire you receive after purchase.
What paper stocks and finishes are available?
We work with a range of specialist suppliers to provide premium paper stocks including duplex, triplex, heavy weight and coloured stocks.
The minimum weight stock we like use and recommend is 400gsm for invitations. We feel that the stiffness of the paper stock your invitation is printed on helps to add that luxury feel that your invitation deserves.
For detail cards, RSVP cards, menus, etc we may print on 300gsm depending on your requirements.
Finish options include letterpress, foil stamping (gold, rose, and pale gold and more), embossing, blind debossing, and foil edging. The available options vary by design and each product page outlines what's included.

Do you offer samples before I place an order?

How do I order wedding invitations from Communique Design?
Simply browse our collection and add your chosen design to your cart. After purchase, you'll receive a design questionnaire by email where you can share your wording, colour preferences, and any other details. We'll then create the artwork for your review and approval before anything goes to print.

How long does it take to receive my wedding invitations?
Turnaround times vary depending on the print finish and quantity ordered. Once your design has been approved, we'll confirm your production and delivery timeframe. We recommend ordering at least 8–12 weeks before you want to send out your invitations to allow time for design, approval, printing, and delivery.
Do you offer a full design service?
